Renegotiation of an existing logistics contract between a leading European non-food discounter and a 3PL partner, already running a large regional DC

Challenge

Updating an existing contract to the client’s current outsourcing standards vs. switching to an alternative service provider during full operation

Process

  • Review of all contractual documents
  • Comparison with current standards of the retailer
  • Balancing of the client‘s expectations and experiences with achievements to be reached via a 3PL operation
  • Preparation of negotiations incl. tactical approach towards the existing 3PL partner
  • Determination of really alternative partner in case of failing negotiations with the existing partner
  • Preparation of all contract elements
  • Active support during contract negotiations in both, foreground and background
  • Design of all supplementary documents to the existing logistics contract in order to adapt
    to the new standards
