Renegotiation of an existing logistics contract between a leading German-based manufacturer of agricultural machines and its long-term logistics service provider

Challenge

Developing and establishing a new format of interaction of both parties as well as re-adjusting the way how to manage the 3PL partner, following a 20-year joint venture based history

Process

  • Review of all contractual documents / elements
  • Design, examination and evaluation of alternative courses of action for the client
  • Detailed determination of the preferred action path in terms of financial, organisational and contractual aspects incl. the design of a new type of remuneration model
  • Preparation of negotiations incl. tactical approach, list of demands, project schedule, set up of the negotiation team and definition of fallback scenarios
  • Preparation of all contract elements
  • Active support during contract negotiations in both, foreground and background
